    BOB操刀的現場錄音專輯

     

    有位朋友在論壇多翻推薦....

    Buy it and listen for yourself. In a word .....Awsome! The CD sounds great....I MEAN IT!!!!
    Not only is the band good...but the recording is just as good. When thinking about what this live CD was going to sound like I was not thinking
    it was going to sound tight and that I would hear all instruments as if they were soloing together.
    I am a drummer and I can tell you that the drums sound as good as ANY live CD I have ever heard....period. With TONS of low end. There is a LOT going on in the songs, Guitars, Horns, Organs..ect and it is TIGHT ...it can’t be live....but it is....so get used to it.
    建議大家買來聽, 聲音就是厲害! 不單只樂隊表演好, 錄音也很好。我可以很清晰聽到每一樂器在彈奏著。我是一個鼓手, 我敢說這現場專輯的鼓聲是我聽過最好之一, 低頻很豐滿。還有其他樂器如 guitars、horns、organs..等等, 它們都能緊扣在一起, 真難想像是現場錄音。

    It’s a live CD and sounds Studio Recorded on par with the best that the industry has to offer.
    Anyone using SS & The ADA8000’s should have this CD as a demo for people to hear, their jaw will drop. It will let them know you have State of  The Art Equipment right there..... right now!
    I am still in disbelief..... I know there is a lot more to recording then just SS and A/D converters but know this.....Don’t waste your money on equipment hoping it is going to magically give you a great recording.......IT AINT GOING TO HAPPEN! Buy what you need and learn how to record. Bob you are a genius and a savior to all the home and studio engineers in the world.

    這是張現場錄音專輯, 聲音卻能達到棚裡應有高水平的工業標準。用sawstudio 和 ada8000 的人應以這專輯作示範, 讓人們知道你也擁有這巧妙的配撘, 我仍不敢相信.......我當然知道除了 sawstudio 和 ada8000 ,還有很多其他的.....但不要浪費你的金錢在一些誤以為可以神奇地提高錄音效果的機器, 須要的, 是好好學習如何錄音!   bob 你不旦是個天才, 還是個人和棚裡工程師的救世主。

    PUTTING THE PRE IN DELAY(设置前置延迟）

    One very useful way to tweak a reverb patch is to postpone its onset with predelay. A reverb with predelay adds simulated depth to a close-miked recording because it imitates the delayed reflections of a larger space. A definitive separation between the dry sound and the simulated reflections of a reverb helps to maintain clarity even with an extreme effect. Many engineers set predelay values that are related to the tempo. (Usually you have to use shorter note values than quarter-note or even eighth-note delays; otherwise, your predelay will be too long.)


    Predelay，就是在混响之前扯出一段延迟时间。混响的Predelay用在封闭录音的情况下模拟空间深度的，因为Predelay本身就是模仿一个大空间的延迟反射。准确的把干声和模拟反射声分开，能让输入效果极大的情况下保持声音纯净清晰。许多工程师把设置Predelay和Tempo（节奏）关联起来。（经常情况下，你会用比较短的NOTE，而少用1/4NOTE或者1/8NOTE的DELAYS；否则你的PERDELAY就太长了）；


    Unfortunately, the predelays built into many reverb plug-ins and processors sound muddy and indistinct. One way to get a cleaner-sounding (and potentially longer) predelay is to use a dedicated delay line before the reverb. Turn the reverb's predelay off, and dial it in from the dedicated delay processor or plug-in. If it's patched the right way, then it's possible to make one reverb return do double or triple duty with several different predelay values (see Fig. 2).


    但不幸的，Predelay加入到学多的混响插件和效果器中，声音听起来都是溷浊而且模糊的。而运用单独（专门营造）延迟的DELAY效果器在Reverb之前，是一个让声音变得清晰的方法（可能有更好的方法）。把混响自己的Perdelay关掉，然后调整专门生成DELAY的效果器或者插件。如果设置好了延迟的时候，那么就可以用一个REVERB作2到3个任务，而且可以设置不同的Predelay值。
